Over 65,000 Cloeziana piles in 2025 and 2026 for dyke reinforcement, riverbanks, quays and coastal protection in the Netherlands and Germany: 9,000 piles on the Amsteldijk in Nieuwkoop, 6,850 in Stichtse Vecht, over 10,000 for the Scheldestromen Water Board and 6,000 for Heringsdorf and Süssau. Each of the applications listed below has been implemented somewhere and can be viewed under our projects.
For bank and embankment protection, we supply the complete shoring system: pointed piles and bulkheads made from Eucalyptus cloeziana, from a single source and in a single delivery. Sawn timbers and heavy-duty sections in Cloeziana for quays, earth retaining structures and bank protection. Naturally durable and suitable for use in both fresh and salt water without the need for preservative treatment.
Cloeziana performs well in salt water without the need for preservative treatment. The heartwood is resistant to shipworms, as confirmed after 17 years of practical use in the port of Herkingen (SHR report 23.0493, 2024); Cloeziana mooring posts have been in use in the Venice lagoon since 2010. Service classes 4 and 5 in accordance with NEN-EN 335. Applications:
